Each month a set of new questions will be posted for PHMEG members in the members area. These will be related to a readily available policy or paper (generally with a web address) of interest to those working in health protection.
In general there will be two parts; one will be a series of multiple choice questions (MCQ) based on the paper at a level suitable for trainees or those wishing the brush up their knowledge. Answers will be posted the following month with the new set of questions. The second part will be a scenario or series of scenarios based on real situations members have had to face. These are more challenging for experienced practitioners who wish to consider a subject in some depth. There may be no “right” answer, but a consensus view reached by the CPD working group will be published the following month. Those wishing to retain evidence for their CPD portfolios should print out the questions with their answers on the same sheet.
The CPD group is always keen to receive suggestions for MCQ or scenario questions from members. This should be via Fitwise on email: phmeg@fitwise.co.uk.
Remember that setting questions is also an activity which may attract CPD points!
